  1. The presentation was strong with a "call to action" that emphasizes tolerance and understanding. Giving personal accounts after visiting the Islamic center helped bring the location to life and added to the depth of the presentation.

After the first half of the presentation, the focus shifted towards religious understanding and the center itself was not the main idea anymore. This did not take away from the quality and I am not sure if this is a negative or not, but the original topic drifted from the front of the discussion to the back.

  2. I said it once and I'll say it again, I am glad you two didn't go first because you guys did a swell job, and I would've hated trying to follow you fellas up. The info was good, and the photos that were shown were helpful. You both seemed excited, and it was nice to see Omar speak of the center as a Muslim and Theo speak about it as a complete outsider. I could tell that you guys had so much to say, and I believe that even if you guys had another ten minutes there would probably still be more to talk about. Also, great job relating the center to all of us.

Overall, I guess the only thing that could've been better would've been each topic getting some more attention while being fleshed out, but I think the issue mostly comes from nerves and time limitations.

  3. I thought that your project was great. I think that you guys really did well at explaining the values that you thought the Islamic Center represented. I think that going to visit and adding pictures made it seem a little more real. I loved how you guys talked to people inside the center. You guys only had a few words on each slide which was good because it didn't seem too clustered.

  4. I thought overall this presentation was really great and well put together. I found it to be very helpful and neat that the two of you actually visited The Islamic Center. I also liked the theme or design on the slides, it connected well with the information.

The only thing I would change is keeping the presentation and the facts on the center itself rather than Muslims and the Islamic religion. Although it is still good to add some of this other information in, it should all tie back to the center and the place.

  5. I think that you're presentation was done really well. I loved how both of you actually took time out to go check out the place first hand instead of just relying on information from the internet to do the project. I haven't actually heard about the Islamic Center, so this presentation was also very informative to me as well.
The only thing that I think I could say would be constructive criticism is that personally I am still not 100% sure what your thesis was supposed to be.

  6. I really liked that you both actually went to the location, it made the presentation feel even more genuine. The only complaint I have is that maybe you could have done more to tie all the information back to a main point or idea.

  7. This presentation was great, and it was awesome that you guys actually took the time to go to the Center. I really enjoyed the topic, and agree with all of the points you made.

My only criticism would have to be that you brought up politics, which is cool, but it made the presentation pretty broad. Maybe focusing more on some things or others would have been better, I felt like we got way less information about the Islamic Center than we did about the religions standings in America. An evening out could have helped. Overall, I loved the presentation though, good job guys!

  8. I really thought your guys' presentation was awesome! All the information was great and it showed through that you guys put a lot of effort into doing this project, and it paid off.

The only criticism I can give was some of the topics were really broad, maybe going into more detail with some things just to elaborate.
